"Every Christmas morning my brother Jon and I have to wait at the top of the stairs until my mom rings the much anticipated "Christmas bell."
We're both in our 20s and come this Christmas morning, you can find both of us atop those same steps. I don't know if we will ever grow out of it!"

"I was playing a show on my birthday and my husband flew out to surprise me. I was out with Shane & Shane and Bebo Norman and everyone came out on stage and sang to me. I started crying when I saw my husband, it was a very fun surprise!"

"One year my mom organized an outreach. I was in eighth grade and a small group of about twenty of us all piled into a flatbed truck and began to drive around and pass out sack lunches to the homeless. It was pouring rain and we all got drenched as we sang Christmas carols and tried to spread some love in that destitute area.
That memory really stayed with me because it struck me how sad it would be to have nowhere to go for Christmas and no family to embrace in the warmth of the season.
After a while, a police car drove up beside us and we thought he was going to tell us to go home or stop doing what we were doing. Instead, he pulled in front of us and offered a police escort for the rest of the night. That was my favorite Christmas Eve for sure."

"You always have to be careful in relationships. In my opinion, you always need to choose someone that you know really well and can trust completely. You need someone that you can just hangout and have fun with. Underneath every good relationship, there is a friendship.
The most important thing that a girl needs to look at in a guy is their relationship with God. Don’t pick someone that you have to bring up, because in the end, they will usually bring you down. Take your time looking for the right one.
These days society makes you think that you have to grow up and be an adult when you’re sixteen. I definitely disagree with that. I think that you should enjoy being a teenager and really focus on your walk with God. Don’t rush or think that you have to have a relationship with someone now. It will happen when it’s supposed to.”

ITT:In addition to being a Recording Artist, you are a College Student, how does that balance out? What disciplines have you had to cultivate in your life and what lessons have you learned? Any advice to the InTheTimes.com girls?
Kristyn: During the school year, I try not to travel as much as I do during the summer. When I do travel, I take my books, laptop, etc. with me. I usually try to study in the car. Thank God for technology! I can have a Peppermint Hot Chocolate at Starbucks, while taking a final exam online, during my tours! Since I am a Music Major, I must take the time to practice vocals and piano daily. I have a study time and a fun time. The important thing is that you don’t let either time take over your life. I make sure I attend class and study to keep my grades up. I also make sure that I carve out time just to relax and have fun with my friends, watching movies, or going shopping.
